Life with a grade schooler: Catching the train

We had a long drive last night (we arrived at 2am!) hence I decided to commute for the day’s activities. That, plus we were hurrying not to be late for our choir practice and I wasn’t sure if parking will come easy.

One thing to note: we were all on time on all of our appointments. Except for catching the train. I was the only one who made it inside the train while Yui couldn’t get it despite trying to bar the door with her bag.

I made exaggerated mouth movements to tell her I’ll wait for her on the platform of our destination station. It seemed she has understood.

Was on tenterhooks waiting for Yui. When she did arrive she had a big smile on her face with laughter in her eyes.

We need to have more training for independence now.

Bye my IP Phone

Our office had made the switch to mobile phones. So today I said goodbye to my beloved IP phone, that’s kept me company since 2012.

Funny that during the pandemic, I used this phone for probably only three times max. And yet only this week I’ve communicated with our Client via this phone for like 6 times.

That’s what I call “going out with a BANG!!

Hatsuhinode 2023

Blessed with such a beautiful first sunrise in this year. Goosebumps seeing Lady Sun rising. Such an amazing scene.

The sunrise came in late actually. It was forecasted 6:50. But 6:53 came and we just have an increasingly lighter sky by the second. When she did came out at 6:57, it was breathtaking.

Thankful to have witnessed this grandeur, especially when it was super cloudy before and after 1st. 🥰
