Want any ideas for your child’s bento/lunch box?
How about forest theme?
You can also opt for an Under the Sea theme. The tanukis (the ones above the squid-shaped ones) of course is with the forest theme.
And nope I didn’t make these. Nor did I took these photos in an exhibit. These were on display in a supermarket. Of course we helped ourselves with the samplers (and bought some as well).
I don’t know Marj – when I was young I was taught never to play with my food! But I guess this artistic sculpture puts it in the “creative play” category, which is different from the stuff I was doing 🙂
Haha! Same with me, David – I was scolded whenever I play with my food. But some moms (and dads) or guardians here in Japan put extra effort in preparing the meals for their kids; to make it cuter and more interesting I guess. But my hands are not cut out for this detail. So probably in the future, I’ll have to ask Yui to immediately mix her food the moment she opened her box so her friends wouldn’t know about its “arrangement” haha.
