After having had tasted authentic Japanese food, one would find it hard to find an authentic Japanese restaurant in the Philippines wherein the food is not “Filipinized” to suit the Filipino palate.
Thankfully though, authentic Japanese food can be found in Omakase ATC, conveniently situated only a few minutes walk away from the (ex) office.
They offer a number of selection on their menu. But a personal favorite is their Tuna Tataki.
Lightly-seared tuna. Spices dust the lightly-seared sides.
Brace yourself though, this one is addictive. One order is just not enough.
ey Marj! i love Omakase sad. they have branches in QC – one just outside Eastwood, and another in Tomas Morato. ako naman, i love their spicy tuna salad. 🙂
hi Rez! 😀 oh I haven’t tried that one pa! will try it next time. although it would be a bit weird eating jap food in pinas if we’re there for vacation haha. And great! Omakase has a lot of branches in Manila pala! lots of goodfood chances. 🙂
haha! bitaw. another place we go to for authentic Japanese food is Little Tokyo in Makati. next time, hopefully, in Japan na jud mismo. hehehe…
I heard of Little Tokyo nga din although i’m yet to have my fill of the food from there. I’m not sure though if it was the place that my officemates went to where they got disappointed with the ramen. Will double check. Anyhow, bakasyon na kayo dito! 😀
madami restos in Little Tokyo. we’ve tried three restos na didto, and so far, we loved the food in those three restos. 🙂
in sha allah, we plan to go there to visit my kuya and his family. pero basin next year (or next next year) pa. hehehe…
puhon, puhon! 😀
