M cooks: cheesy bola-bola!

While having cheese hamburg lunch yesterday, I had the inspiration to make my own hamburg in this weekend. Today after me-time (was off from work today), I decided to make bola bola instead (Filipino meatballs, one of my childhood faves). Yui loves cheese so I decided to toss in some. The verdict? Everyone in the dinner table declared it tasted MUCH better than the hamburg we had yesterday. Yui even requested I make the same again next week❣️🥰❤️

Baked it instead of frying. Preheated the oven at 180degC. Baked for 20 min at 200degC, and kept it inside the oven for 15 min. I’ll preheat it at higher temp next time for more crispy bola bola!

a tribute to the old, hello new one

It was sad to see you go. As you walked past me, I actually had to touch you as I said bye; prompting an understanding laugh from the two men hauling you. You’ve been a lot of help in this nine years. But it has been a very difficult and troublesome 8 months, as age has caught up with you. Nevertheless, thank you. And hope some of your parts could still be used.

Hello there, new one. The dinosaur age in me had some trouble getting you run on our first batch of laundry. But I am very confident we’ll get along really well. Here’s to great times!

life with a toddler: I love you

July 11, 2015.

Yui anak, you’re quite expressive with your affection; huge on smiles and warm, tight hugs. Being the receptiveness of those expressions is enough to put Mom and Dad in Cloud 9.

But today, you said it back for the very first time. You told Mommy, “I love you”.

A big lump was on my throat. Thank you, dear. We love you much too.
