Today.

Today.

We still could not find our favourite tradition book hence, even with the morning rush, and you were already panicky because you’re about to be left behind, I decided to use last year’s photo and just your name in front of you.
Funny how you happened to wear the very same sweater as last year!
Godspeed, my baby.

Using the Sketchbook app in her iPad Pro. She said she made up this new character. Seems like he’s a cross between a cow and a reindeer.

As you unloaded your bag, you happily exclaimed to me you got a letter from your classmate (who I happen to know). On her short but sweet letter, she said sorry for suddenly crying during your task together today and that she thanks you for comforting her and that she’ll do better next time.
You looked so happy reading the letter (apparently you put off reading it until you could read it in my presence) yet confused as well. You said you didn’t say anything. That what you did was just rub her back and waited for her to cry her heart out, until she’s ready to move forward and carry on with the task.
After hearing your story, while saying it in your comical way, it’s my turn to cry. I’m so proud of you baby. Because you did the best thing a friend could do on times like that. Sometimes, all we need is just a friend who will sit beside us, pat our back, wait for us silently, support us, not judging us, wait for us until we’re ready to move forward again. Thank you for being you.

My latest weekly treat: fresh flowers on our dining area and entrance. This one is part of the bouquet in the dining area. It’s so pretty and calming and familiar and happy. Then it hit me. Ah yes, our wedding colours.

And this beauty was from last week. Two weeks in bloom yet still regally beautiful.

While having cheese hamburg lunch yesterday, I had the inspiration to make my own hamburg in this weekend. Today after me-time (was off from work today), I decided to make bola bola instead (Filipino meatballs, one of my childhood faves). Yui loves cheese so I decided to toss in some. The verdict? Everyone in the dinner table declared it tasted MUCH better than the hamburg we had yesterday. Yui even requested I make the same again next week❣️🥰❤️
Baked it instead of frying. Preheated the oven at 180degC. Baked for 20 min at 200degC, and kept it inside the oven for 15 min. I’ll preheat it at higher temp next time for more crispy bola bola!
