A Japanese performer at Sakuragicho. His name card shows “Di TAO”. In Filipino, this means “not human”. I wonder if indeed he knows the Filipino language and that he used it as a pun – that he’s veeeery good with guitar he can be considered not human. He was still preparing as I was passing by but judging from the sampler I got, I believe his claim is justifiable. He is so damn good.

Børnelund Playworld
As a treat for enduring yet another round of vaccines, we brought Yui to the newly opened Børnelund Playworld/あそびのせかい (openedlast June 21) located in the likewise newly opened Mark Is. Fees was reasonable as well with 600yen for 30 minutes for parent/guardian, 300yen for babies and kids, and 100yen for the adults for every 10 minute-extension.
It was a wonderland for Yui. We only mostly stayed at the babies section, however.
There’s also ball pool like those that are popular in the Philippines.
And an area for bigger, more active kids.
Play partners!
Thing is, we were only able to explore the left side of the place. There were more interesting stuff on the right side! Left side was already more than enough for a baby that we just stayed there mostly. I wasn’t even able to take a photo of the right side! But definitely there’s gonna be a next time!

sakura dori
After a hard rain, it always is a beautiful day the day after, making today’s walk to office even lovelier what with the blue skies highlighting the sakura trees, that has blossomed in its prime, lining the whole Sakura avenue in front of the office. And this week is even lovelier what with the sakura petals falling, as if it’s snowing with pink and white petals.
Our office, masked with sakura blooms.
look who’s in love
It’s been a particularly cold and dreary-looking day with the clouds looking heavy. I wish I could say they’re heavy with snow, but no they aren’t.
In this overcast day though, what was usually ignored took a lot of notice. There was this particular side of the building which is the least interesting to look at. But not today.
We fondly refer to it as “the building that’s in love”.
